Default Drivers Side Door Hindge

Hello, I own a 05' Crossfire Conv. A few days ago I started hearing clicking in the door whenever it was opened or closed. One day a bolt fell out. Door now swings out with no locking feature. My question is; when replacing bolts; do I need to have door in closed position or open. I tried replacing bolts in open position, but could not pull door close. ??? The bolts are not securing the upper and lower hinges , they are securing center bar that allows door to lock in 3 positions when opened. Any suggestions ?

Default Re: Drivers Side Door Hindge

I read a problem one person was having with drivers door clicking. He went ahead and replaces door check strap. Mine made the same noise but after careful eye, I found that clicking was only caused by bolts being loose. Local body pointed it out. Well lucky for me; I tightened and all clicking solved. Very smooth open and close.
