Exclamation unresponsive gas pedal srt-6 please help

Hi everyone,

Firts time poster and new to the forums. Just bought my crossfire 4 days ago. After an awsome drive home from Dallas to guldport, ms. stopping several times for gas, restrooms, food and driver swaping with zero issues. I wake up next morning to drive my new baby to work.

.....and then i have this problem now. car starts and runs but pushing gas pedal does nothing except very slight hesitant forward motion like idle speed. there are no lights on dash on. i can change gears with the auto stick. but when i step on the gas car acts like it doesnt know that i am. have done last few days of searching the forums and belive it to be one of these 3 things... but not sure witch.

throttle position sensor
or cam shaft position sensor
or the connector box.

btw i do have a obd reader i will look at when i get back home and update what it says.

the car is automatic SRT-6 Roadster with about 95k miles.

any and all help will be apreciated.

thanks Brian

Damn, sorry to hear of trouble so soon. If it's the spiders gears, I have a couple. You can have one if you cover shipping.

thanks grip, but im not sure where or what spider gears are or how they would play a part in this. havent found any reference to them yet.

a bit of an update....

the code shown is throttle / pedal position sensor. P0120. so i guess i start with one of those.

also some more info...

i can drive the car around the block but only with idle rpms.

the previous owner replied to a question i texted him and says it has happened to him once or twice... and went away.....and failed to tell me when i bought the car.

any suggestions on what to replace first ??

thanks

If the engine does not rev then I'd guess the TPS or the accelerator pedal assembly.

update....

i decided to try out the throttle reset....woot it fixed it.

if it happens again ill see about replacing or trying to fix what ever is the culprit.

did find out i need a serpentine belt as well though. no one had it in stock so i had to order it. how much work is involved in replacing it. do you have to take a bunch of parts off to?

Nothing to take off other than the old belt

fyi for SRT-6 there is a pulley for the supercharger that you must remove, but, its simple.

and another update no power messing up again after 2 days of good driving.....wierd.
