Default AFR gauge

When installing AEM AFR gauge does the sensor need to be before all cats or can be installed before the rear cats to get a proper read since we have 4 cats.

with the stock downpipes it is not feasible to put the sensor before the 1st cats as the sensor would be too close to the head and thus damage the sensor. put the sensor next to the rear o2 sensors.

accurate is a strong word. It will be accurate enough for what you want it for, surely a whole lot more accurate than a dyno shop sticking a sniffer in your tailpipe.

the only way to get more accurate would be to install some new downpipes that don't have the cats so far forward so that you could put your sensor before them. the sensors need to be at least 12 inches from the head.
