'04 Rear right brake light not working
As the title says, I have a 2004 xfire that has a non-functioning rear right brake light. I have replaced the bulb, cleaned the socket, and checked for blown fuses. Nothing, should I check the wires for voltage? After I do that, what would be the next step for fixing it?
Thanks,
Spencer

My first thought is to take a look at the socket, to make sure your bulb is making contact. Sometimes those sockets will get bent to a point of no contact. If this is the case, gently pry the tab up with a small pick of some type....something like a dental pick with a hook on it.....good luck.... but do check for voltage first... make sure power is off when poking around in there....

The illumination control module through the brake relay module is the source for the right rear brake light. Check the black wire with a yellow trace at the ICM with the brakes on. If you have power the only thing left is vehicle wires and the socket. the black with red trace is the left and the black with blue trace is the center brake light.
