Idles rough, No throttle
05 SRT drove it to work recently and on the way home had a hard time getting it to start and keep running. When it would run the idle was terribly rough, babying the throttle I could get under way but if I tried to actually accelerate the motor would die. I could wait a bit and get it to restart and it would idle rough and not take throttle all over again. I'm a pretty patient guy and made my half hour drive home in about two hours. It seemed the symptoms were much like a bad CPS but not exactly. Installed a new Bosch CPS today and still have the exact same problems. Hard start, rough idle which will smooth out above 1500 RPMs but dies or drops back to the 800 RPM rough idle with depressing the throttle. Also have
no current codes. Car has 13,000+ miles. Looking for some ideas.

Sounds like bad coil or shorting plug wire(s). Secondary ignition won't set codes but mis/no fire should give a P030x. Any smoke out the pipes ? Have seen a coolant sensor reading too low flood an engine.

So after changing the CPS with no improvement I pulled the RCM and sent it to DJ. He repaired it and turned it around right away and I installed it yesterday. Haven't been out on the road yet but it started right up and ran fine. I'm thinking it's fixed.
