Hi all, I was checking my engine bay today and noticed a random hose lying cut on top of the bell housing. It's about an inch diameter and comes out of approximately the middle of the panel over the firewall. A small diaphragm is just a couple inches to the right. What is it to, and should I be worried? Car appears to be running fine, and all fluids are satisfactory.

Just guessing but it maybe a drain hose for the A/C ?

 

It is the drain outlet for the center cowl drain, the one in front of the passenger side wiper stem.

 

Learned something new today! Knew there was one; never knew where it was.

Sweet, thank you for clearing that up. I've been driving the car sparingly this season due to the crummy weather in the midwest, and I pulled it out of the garage last weekend and there was a wet spot the size of the car on the concrete and I was worried and checked over everything and noticed this for the first time. Think it was just condensation from the rainy day I drove it last!
