Did you replace the spring rubbers? I can't remember the what they are called but they are a rubber donut that fits on the springs. They come in various thicknesses.

The springs have rubber pads that come in different sizes thickness.maybe only 1/8--1/4 inch .
I'd still cut the springs and see how low you can go . I know where you can get some extras.

Don't get any springs. You just need to get coilovers. That would be your only option. You could make the entire car sit on the ground (obviously undriveable) with the right kit if you so chose.

Chad,
I know they offer another kit that makes it even lower than the pro kit and it is made by eibach as well. I looked at your pictures and there is a tiny gap but imo it looks fine and I think if you did go any lower you will rub the fenders in the front for sure.

the top of each springs has a spring pads. These rubber pads, comes in different thicknes.
You can change your current pads to the thinnest one.

Just go to Mercedes dealer and get the thinnest pads. Here are the part number:
Front:
A 210 321 01 84 (5mm)
A 210 321 02 84 (9mm)
A 210 321 03 84 (13mm)
A 210 321 04 84 (17mm)
A 210 321 05 84 (21mm)

Rear:
A 210 325 01 84 (5mm)
A 210 325 02 84 (9mm)
A 210 325 03 84 (13mm)
A 210 325 04 84 (17mm)

Only trouble you'll run into is the tires hitting the fenders and the burning smell of rubber. There's a gap for a reason.

When you lower the car, the camber will go negative and the wheels/tires will go inside the fender. given the correct witdh of the rims and tires it should not rub. I have a much lower car without the rubbing problem. you can always roll the fender.

pnsji,

What are the thicknesses for the Crossfire spring pad rubbers? Also, i've heard the the very early production XF's have a different stock ride height than the rest of the XF's. So, does that mean there are 2 different stock spring pad rubbers for the front, as well as for the rear?

Thanks.

from the factory, each cars comes with different spring pads setup. I am not sure why.
You could jack your car up, take out the wheels, and then look under the spring pads. there are "notches" to indicate what number they are.
Front pads (A):

Rear Pads (B):

If you want to adjust them you can buy them from Mercedes dealers:

Front
A 210 321 01 84 (5mm)
A 210 321 02 84 (9mm)
A 210 321 03 84 (13mm)
A 210 321 04 84 (17mm)
A 210 321 05 84 (21mm)

Rear
A 210 325 01 84 (5mm)
A 210 325 02 84 (9mm)
A 210 325 03 84 (13mm)
A 210 325 04 84 (17mm)
