New toy
New toy
I have had few problems with my Crossfires but I like toys.
To look for trouble I have an Innova 3100, an UltraGauge, and for use on my iPad a cheap ELM327 and now the BlueDriver.
I am not too sure how it will work but I had to have it.
The Innova did not find one of my particular problems on my late but not lamented Chrysler, it only showed up using its self diagnosis program. I used the UltraGauge and the ELM327 once when they came.
The BlueDriver comes Tuesday, I'll see what it can do, at least once.

Re: New toy
The BlueDriver came Tuesday, and I got to play with it a bit today. No codes found but the pollution control sensors need to be reset after I had the battery go flat and die. It showed which sensors needed the drive around to reset, seven sensors in all.
My Innova only said that their was a problem.
This thing looks pretty impressive. I'm running it on an iPad Mini, you can get one that works with the Android system.
You can download the app for free and have a look at it before you buy if you want.
For $100 on Amazon the BlueDriver looks like a good investment.

Re: New toy
I can't do too much with it yet as the car is off the road until at least the end of March. I am going to try and get a written report on the pollution sensors that need to be reset due to the loss of battery power. To reset them on my Chrysler 300 I needed to drive down the freeway for about 8 miles and return by the regular roads.

Re: New toy
Anxious to see it work on the XFire and our 2006 VW New Beetle.
Re: New toy
I hooked it up to my son's truck and it recognized it immediately and worked fine. I tried it again on the Crossfire and my truck, and nothing.

Here are the PDFs of the BlueDriver scan on the Pollution system, Data Log, and in the thumbnails the Service info, Maintenance and Vehicle info. it found no other faults on the car.
Pollution
Data Log
I start the car, turn on the iPad and it connects.
My ELM 327 requires me to go to the WiFi setup and look for the ELM327.
The free program for the ELM does not show too much at all, my Innova 3100 just shows the pollution set to orange, not green or red. If I recall it showed orange when it past the pollution check last time. I know it will not pass the test now as the battery failed and the car lost all its stored history.
I do not think that I will use anything else in future except the BlueDriver.
I'll try the UltraGauge next time.

The UltraGauge was less but cannot put out emails of the results. It probably does not show so much, but it is very good for the money and I have not studied it too much. I've only looked at it once and then I put it under the seat and forgot about it. Silly really.
