Cool Daveace in the UK

Hi, Can anyone tell me how you access the under side of the under bonnet fuse holder to tap into (No:13) the spare fuse? I want to use it to wire in my dash camera. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you go through the hole where the wires exit the box and go through the firewall. I believe there is a post in the box that becomes live when the ignition is turned on and thus no need to tap a fuse.
That spare fuse may have no contacts under it, it may just be a parking spot for a spare fuse.

Yes, there are actually 2 posts at the rear, one is always hot, the other is switched.
Connect to one of your choice with a fuse in the hookup wire .....

Thanks guys I have done it the hard way now, removed the radio, removed the console, and piggy backed off the cig lighter now its dark here in the UK will see if it works tomorrow. If it don't I will go off of the posts at the back of the fuse box. With an inline fuse.

BOY !
You do things the hard way !
The wires to the cigarette lighter are common to the wires in the glove box light, you could have tapped in there much more easily .......
pop the light out, hookup, pop the light back in, just sayin .....

( I hooked up a female cigarette lighter socket to the glove box light and plugged my Garmin GPS in. Didn't need to modify the OEM Garmin plug that way, and all is hidden inside the dash )
