Default Loctite 40482

Has anyone tried this RTV yet. It would appear to me that you could get the small bead required and not the blobby looking bead that is too big and probably leads to premature failure of the seal. This gets away from the need for the expensive Mercedes tool that uses their sealant. It appears that the sealant tube is reusable if resealed as they say it should be.

With this can you should be able to lay down a small consistent sized bead that just fills the groove without the excess that shows too much when it is squashed out of the joint.
It is sensor safe and appears ideal for our application on the breather covers and elsewhere. At about $19 a tube it seams a good buy.

If black is your preference, Loctite also has an instant gasket formula that has Daimler Chrysler MS-GF44 Grade A approval (whatever that is?)
