Please someone help me...
I have a 2004 that flooded.. I've replaced all the ECU and relays from a 2004 donor. It won't crank. I've cranked it by manually on the relay but no spark... The fuel pump comes on and everything works. 903-303-7701
How high did the water get?
I wish that I could help, but you need a small miracle.
It is more trouble than it is worth, strip it and sell all the parts that are OK.

I have messed with a couple of flood cars. All are now running great.
1) How long ago was it flooded
2) Was it salt or fresh water
3) Was it dirty or relatively clean water
4) How long was it under water
5) What does an OBD reader show, any codes

It was in a flood in fresh water. I'm guessing a few hours. I've replaced the relays and fuse block and all computers and electronic componets. Everything works even the radio but won't crank by key. It's like you don't have clutch pushed in. I looked the clutch safyy deal. I can crank it by triggering relay with key on. The fuel pump comes on and every thing but no spark
Are you one of those guys that's flipped lots of flood cars after making them run for long enough to make a profit on unsuspecting victims that eventually suffer from electrical gremlins and inoperable cars?

Does the engine turn over when you turn the key?
Did water get in the engine compartment? If so I highly recommend removing the intake to make sure there is no water hidden anywhere. Also, remove all sparkplugs and spin the engine by hand initially then with the starter. If any water comes out and the car sat for more then a month or so you probably have cylinder wall rust/erosion. This is not necessarily a death sentence but it can cause unequal compression between cylinders. I rebuilt a 350z engine due to this.
I do not flip "flood cars". I fix them and drive them. 2 so far. Still have them.
I have never tried to bring back a Mercedes. They have lots of switches and sensors.

Yes I'm guessing the rcm it's the black relay box I with the fuse block on drivers side under hood. I've replaced the computers from a different car. I'm wondering if I need the key fob from the car with the security box.or if I can just have the car re programmed
I'm wondering did you have the ECU coded with the proper VIN .. otherwise modules are not going to play nice with any OEM's left in the car.
Like Mrmiata is saying, some things are plug an play, some are not. "Security box?" Did you replace the one in the trunk (clp/) or the one behind the speed-o (skreem) and / or the ecu? I think some of MY confusion , is coming from the "terminology" that is being used. It would help ME, if you would tell us exactly "what" was put in (replaced) from the donor car. That way we can say, "will work/won't work" an get this baby back on the road.
