i thought it was just the fuel pump, but
driving down the road yesterday and my Crossfire just lost power and died. had it towed home, and the tow driver mentioned that it was leaking fuel.
before it died.
1. I was on my way to fill it (low fuel light had just come on)and head out for work.
2. some extra noise from fuel pump on cold start.
3. fuel filter was changed a few months ago, and car was running fine.
now.
1. fuel pump replaced. still didn't want to start
2. tried to add fuel and the vent door in the filler tube was stuck, used a long rod to open and add fuel
3. car will now start, idle at about 1100rpm and die a short time later, dies immediately if you try to rev the engine.
4. and now I see its dumping fuel on the ground when running, I guess I will be back after I find that leak.

ok its from a hose on the big black box back by the fuel pump. whatever its called.
could part of the problem be from the old fuel pump clogging the pressure valve in the fuel filter?
new filter ordered.

you will want the updated fuel filter with 4 ports. (has internal regulator)
the high flow filter only has 2 ports and requires the use of our adjustable fuel pressure regulator kit.
