Yeah, the guy that I worked with in the body shop to install the wing suggested the srt-6 emblem for fun... I figured... why not? Who cares if it's not a true srt-6. It's all about image and everyone that sees the car, thinks it is an srt-6. Who cares if it is not.

 

The owners manual says it is required – actually warns against driving at speed if the wing doesn’t deploy.

 

Battlerock should be fine with the SRT wing on the back. I can almost guarantee that thing provides more than enough downforce. As far as the owners with no wing at all, yes it can be dangerous. You would have to be going pretty fast to have a problem but I wouldn't put it past anybody...

 

Don't always believe what's written in the manual. Somewhere it says you can disable the theft alarm by using the remote OR the key.
Ok, go and unlock the door by using the key. Then open the door BUT be sure to have the remote ready to disarm the alarm... It's good fun, especially at night.

For the wing, I'd never drive high speed without.

$1700 for the wing, and what... another $300 for the badge?

What are you doing to say when someone asked to see the blower? You're going to look silly.

 

Sorry Battlerock but I agree with HEB80 on this one...Adding the wing is one thing but posing to have an SRT-6 by adding some stick-on SRT-6 decals is just sad...Saw the same thing though when I owned my MB and noticed people would add the "AMG" logo to their stock C230's, C240's, etc.

 

The emblem was a freebie from the shop manager and was his offer... not something I inquired about... quite frankly... I don't give a sh*t about showing the "blower" to anyone. Life is about image 99% of the time... the fact that I get people praising something so silly as a car that they think is an SRT-6 for a fraction of the retail cost is funny... and life.

I remember when I had my Mustang and saw the same car with Cobra logos... knowing it wasn't a cobra... didn't **** me off... just made me think... wow... why not... it is all about image.

Now, If I can just turn this Bachelor's degree into a Master's or PHD... Maybe I can double my salary too.

No doc... I don't think that way... I realize everyone else does which is why vehicle manufactures design these type of automobile strains.

As for the college degree reference... same applies. In my world... it's not what you know... it's who you know... living by this mentality and networking with people around the world has got me to where most people twice my age dream to be... but I won't rub it in any further... I know what's best and it works for me.

Life is often about image.

However, an SRT-6 badge won't mean much to the average person that lives their life this way. The only person it will mean something to is a "car guy", the same guy that will laugh at you when you refuse to show him your non-existent blower.

 

Hey good point... I think I will go drive it off the turnpike and go buy a real car.

 

Nooo.....just buy your car a fake blower! It's cheaper that way...and always show your engine at night time.

Hey, it's all about looks as we saw from GreenFilters and BillyBoat exhaust that were slapped on the Crossfire Roadster and Drifter. They don't work that's why they can't sell us a kit for it! It's just for the SEMA show and SEMA don't test those cars!

 

Even porsche and jaguar does the body treatments to sell cars. So what, fake emblems or Clones are always out there.

I admit to wondering what the price was on that wing myself. But only because I like the look of the wing. If it is truly $1700 then I guess I lost interest. Pay to play just becomes to pricey at that point.

 

Awhile back when different exhausts were being tossed around. Someone brought up Billy Boat exhausts. I called their number in Phoenix, Arizona. They do not and have any plans on fabricating an exhaust system for the Crossfire. I asked why and the answer was, "there is no demand for them". Maybe you must be thinking of some other brand.
