OK, I am still a new guy and have spent hours reading all the info I can on as many potential mechanical issues as possible. I have a really nice 05 limited coupe with 45,000 miles and an auto tranny. I also purchased a wrecked 2004 limited with the 6 speed and 110k. I mainly got it to have all the spare electrical parts that can become an issue. I know that there are dozens of articles on the SKREEM problem and often just as many opinions. Basically, if I ever had a problem with the SKREEM on my 05 automatic, could I replace it with the SKREEM, key fob, and other related parts off the 04 manual tranny car. If not I might as well sell those parts to someone who needs them

 

Yes, key fob and lock blade from old fob, SKREEM module and ECU
Be aware that if you have state inspection and they match the electronic VIN to the car you will have a problem.

 

Thanks, I would just carry for a spare in case of a problem on a trip instead of buying another "fix"
