Default I have a horn not working

Just purchased my srt6 last week and love the car. I have had several corvettes but I feel the srt is more fun than any auto I have owned before. I purchased the car from a dealer and the horn does not work. I have changed the fuse and would appreciate any response as to what might work. Another issue I have is I can smell gas when I check the oil and at times when warming up or at low speeds the high oil level indicator will come on. Once again I would appreciate any help that can be offered.

Welcome to the best car forum around, ever! Did you get a warranty? How long since bought? If you cannot work on it yourself take it to an independent European mechanic. I am sure others will chime in and help with each issue, there is quite a wealth of help here if you take each thing one step at a time. Good luck!

I’ve had the car for a week and a half and love it. It’s extremely nimble and I’ve avoided two accidents since I purchased it. It already has some mods. A great needswing duel and I believe a pulley but I don’t know how to tell. The supercharger pulley looks new compared to the others. I don’t know about the tune though. I did buy a warranty for two years bumper to bumper. I live in Hampton roads virginia anyone know a good mechanic in my area. I have read on the forum that dealers don’t like to work on these cars.

How does the oil look and when was it last changed?
does the oils smell like gas or do you smell raw fuel in the engine bay while checking the oil?

The oil was changed not long before I purchased the car and the oil looks light tan in color. I actually smell gas in the oil and sometimes I can smell gas during warm up. The car also stutters a little when cold.

Check the oil level using the dipstick; Front passenger side of engine.
The horn relay on the RCM may be burned out. The relays are problematic on a car with this age. Look up Mystery No Start in the search box.
Check for codes using a scanner that can get into the Mercedes specifics, not a simple generic OBD II
Welcome!
The search box is your friend

hmmm
oil that smells like gas is not a great sign. That could be a larger issue

any lights on the dash? It may be an issue with a secondary air pump on start up

does the car still have cats?

i deleted mine and coded out the sensors

now I’m smelling fuel all the time

just tossing out a few *****
