Default Illuminated Sills

Well I did, I ordered these from my local dealership. They are being installed on Thursday.

They wouldn't match the online price I found of $330.56 (but with shipping it was $363) but they charged me $375.00 and the install with be $98 they said.

I will post pics after they are done.

Also, dealer trying to fix this creak in my car that they haven't been able to fix yet. Seems to me it is coming from the passenger seatbelt housing. It drives me crazy every bump or turn it creaks really loud.

Yes I know this nasty sound. Especially when it's warm... I think there is a part of the housing that can be replaced. I'll check with my dealer next time.
Good luck.

I will document tonight for everyone.

Also, again they said they can not detect this creak. I even rode with tech last time. It is so loud it is obscene. Looks like i'll have to take it to another dealer.

The sound comes from the part of the housing that wraps (or hooks) around the window frame. Put a finger in the seat belt opening and tug a bit. You just need to create a slight gap. If you only have the sound on one side (passenger side for me), go look at the other side and you can see the slight gap. I tugged on mine about 2 months ago and haven't heard a creak since.

Just wondering why, $470 bucks for Illumination, sills? Seems like a lot of $ for a little light.

They were a gift from my fiance, she liked them and wanted them so, I wasn't going to argue.

They actually look unbelievable!

Here are pics in different lighting. The first set is from around 6:00, then 9:00.

XFiring, they look awesome! But it's not worth for me to install them. The places I most often open the door are narrow lots. So I'd only see like "SFIRE" or so ...

Besides the dealership, can you folks tell me where you found the best prices for the sills?

Thanks.

Anyone know of a way to make these illuminate in green so they would match the interior lighting?

I asked the same thing some time ago and got no real answers.

I am looking at making 50 sets of illuminated sills in green so they mach the interior. They will probably be an insert to replace the stainless inserts already in the car rather than a complete sill with the black plastic/rubber. A complete kit with laser cut stainless steel and green illumination would be around $225 for you to install yourself. Is there any interest from the forum for these i had originally thought about selling them only on E bay???

I would pay $225 if they look as good as the real illuminated sills.
