Default Unidentified part

Anyone know where this is from?
Has a part number of A 000 541 00 63

it was near my battery just sitting in the well..
I would like to know where it goes and reinstall it if it's necessary

It is the battery vent that plugs into a hole in the top of the front face of the battery.
The vent traps any fluid that comes out of the hole to stop corrosion of the area under the battery.
The rear vent hole in the battery should have a solid plug pressed in it so that gases venting come out of the front vent. and into this vent fluid trap.
I wrapped Teflon tape around mine to make it tighter in the hole.

.

It is extremely fortunate of you to have had it just drop where it can be easily found. Many have looked high and low (and even took apart a few parts under the battery) trying to find this elusive part. Good advice to reinstall it, and make sure there is a plug in the hole on the other side if there is a hole for one.
