UPDATE... found the part at salvage yard in Fl. Yay!
My convertible top header latch is broken where the arm attaches to the center where the d- ring is located. I have been trying to find the replacement part pictured below but having no luck. Please help.

Reason: Update found part
No, part of the center part appears to have broken off. My friend who was feeling under the cover trying to see if he could re attach it said he could feel plastic part still on the end of the rod. I guess I'm relying on his take but you can't really get in there without detaching the top.
I don’t recall plastic parts on the rod ends, there are about a dozen screws in a flat piece of trim on the front bottom side of the top. Remove that piece of trim and you can then roll the fabric back to expose the mechanism. Very simple to do.
This is sadly only going to become more and more common (the inability to buy new replacement parts) as the years on these cars progress.
so true. I got a salvage yard suggestion in a message from @loudrango They did not have the part, they suggested another salvage yard who I emailed. They did not have it either but gave me a number to a 3rd salvage yard in Florida. After traveling down the rabbit hole, I found the part!!! So happy. A little pricy but from the pics, it is in perfect condition. So yay. Finally I can get this taken care of.
