Hi guys, have been trying to get this out there for days(not good at this stuff) have a 2005 srt roadster intermittently won’t crank over. Battery,cables etc ok, when it does crank turns over fine. Have resoldered rcm and relays looked ok.also another problem that recently started is sometimes after it starts all dash brake lights come on and engine sounds different, shut it off and restart all’s ok.live in Orlando and read chuk138 lives here, any way to get ahold of him to possibly see if he could look at it for me, I have some medical issues going on. have you tried replacing the sensor behind the motor I think it's the crankshaft sensor or the other one that cause issues. Mine would do that, crank over but wouldn't start. I would jiggle the sensor some and it would start. So I replaced the sensor and no more starting issues. As far as the chuk138 idk know him as I am fairly new too. Maybe try sending him a message? Make sure you have checked all fuses just to help with any issues. I'm not the best either so maybe someone else can chime in and help you out. Best of luck with the medical issues as well.

Could be a bad relay in the RCM. Just because they look good doesn't mean they are. I get RCMs from Florida that have corroded relay cores that will cause the relay to sometimes not work. Open the RCM and remove the spring off the back of a relay then remove the armature arm. The core should be just bare metal without corrosion. Could also be a relay coil going bad.

 

Tighed1 are you still rebuilding these, would definitely want someone that knows what there doing to check and repair

I am also suspecting BCM. Yes fuel filter has been changed. If fuel were an issue it would affect gas mileage and run rough or stall. Car always eventually starts and I swapped rcm at least twice.
