SRT wont start/fire just out of the blue
Anybody have this issue. II have an 05 SRT that has never given me any mechanical issues. I went for a short drive to warm up the oil as I was preparing to service it...Turned the motor off for about10 minutes and now it wont fire. Anybody tell me where to start troubleshooting? its stuck halfway in the garage keeping you know who from parking her car.. Unsure if it is relevant or not but I did get on it good to pass a car, then parked it shortly thereafter. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
How can we possibly answer this? You are not telling us if it cranks but won't start - or if it does not even crank.
Does the starter engage or not?
Does the starter engage or not?
Usual No Start issues come from the relay control module or crankshaft position sensor.
Either one can cause a Crank but no start issue. CPS may give a PO335 fault code. If the car won't crank, could be bad solder joints or a bad relay in the RCM (I repair RCMs).
Give us some more detail so we can help.

My apology if my explanation of my issue is unclear as I thought stating that it will not fire means yes it cranks but will not start....To my luck, after letting it sit for an hour it fired right up. Now I am Leary on this occurring on my next road trip!. Thank you for everyone for their input. .
I asked one guy, "Does the starter engage or not?"
His answer: "How would I know?"
..... My advice was for him to take it to a dealer and leave a blank check with them.
My advice:
1) If the battery is over four years old, replace it.
2) Order a BOSCH crank sensor and put it in (easy to do).
3) Yank the RCM and send it to DJ to be reworked. (See post 3, that's him!)
I’ve read over many threads on starting and ignition problems but can’t find a good description of my problem or fix. So I’ll do my best description in hopes the community can diagnose and recommend repair. If it happens again, I’ll post a video.
2004 NA 52k summer miles adult driven: I place the key in the ignition, turn the key till it stops. I wait for the chime to stop and all lights clear (force of habit with all my cars). Once the car has finished initializing, I turn key to start. Now, here’s where it gets weird. I’ve never had this happen with any car I’ve ever owned:
The starter(?) continues to attempt to start the engine. The engine does not fire and the starter(?) continues with its purpose to start the engine until I turn the key back to the off position. ….I’ll clarify here, it continues. Like, does not stop. I can take my hand off the key while in the ignition and it continues. After waiting some time with the key out and a few attempts later, it starts the engine and I’m on my way as if nothing happened.
What is going on? Any ideas? So weird.
It’s happened 2x now this week and is the first time I’ve experienced this. No known issues reported from prior owner of 13 years.

In automatic Crossfires once the key is turned to the START position, the starter will continue to spin (you don't have to hold the key) until a start occurs or period of time (5-10 seconds or so) has passed. Then it will (should) stop cranking. This is normal.
See if it doesn't stop cranking after awhile. If it does...
It appears that you have a No Start condition. See Post #3 above.
Check for fuel pressure on the fuel rail or spray some starter fluid into the intake. If she'll run while you are spraying, looks like a fuel delivery problem. Let us know what happens.
