Default Warning light reset

I dropped a wrench on my battery which of course it landed on both cables and sparks flew everywhere. The car starts and seems to run fine but now the battery and engine overheat lights stay on. How do I reset them or what might have I damaged?
Thanks

Having the instrument cluster battery light on when the car is running indicates there is now a problem with the charging system. It's possible the alternator was damage. There is no engine overheat light. Is it the "check engine" light that is now on? What is the temperature gauge showing?

Thanks. The temp gauge is normal, below halfway.
Just noticed that the radio isn’t working either.

Also check all of your fuses. That was a big electrical surge. There are fuses under the hood and inside the dash on the light switch.

Thanks, I won’t get to work on it again till Tuesday. Do you still think I damaged the alternator?
