I plan on doing a full thread on my build when I can, but question. I am taking the engine/trans/rear end out of the 2002 clk 55 Amg and putting in the crossfire. Rudy is doing the programming and giving me a wiring harness, but my question is will the factory automatic shifter/gear box in my 04 crossfire work with the Mercedes engine/trans or do I need to rip out the clk’s shifter and replace that as well. I haven’t been underneath the car to see how it’s wired or if the connections are the same/different. So thought I would ask here

 

You'll be able to use the stock Crossfire shifter and wiring for it and the trans. You'll use the CLK engine wiring harness, probably with a couple of mods to the connectors at the ECU area.
