I found a guy near me that is parting out a CLK55 AMG...

So far, I'm getting all four rims and all four big brake assemblies (calipers, bolts and discs) for only 400$!!!!

Is there anything else I should snag off this beast while it's pretty much free?

Looking for mostly bolt on stuff... I don't want to have to fork over for any custom work...

Figured you guys already know and yes... The engine is still there! Missing everything outside of the block from the radiator to the battery terminals though, the other side is still intact.

 

You'll need custom brackets for the brakes. Hit up rcompart.

 

is it an n/a engine or s/c? what yr clk55? my shop may be interested in the whole car

 

Looks like it's a 2001. Here is a link to some pictures of the engine. I don't think it had the big brake bolt

upgrade with 6 front 4 back. And the rims are 17' too from what I read online, it's a 2005+ I need.

I guess it is a slight upgrade. More stopping power and less weight on the calipers than mine. Same exact size.

Twice the stopping power, supposedly boots right on and are the same exact size calipers as ours with twice as many pistons.

The 2001 CLK55 has a 345mm rotor. Same as C32/C55, with this rotor it is a direct bolt on, no brackets needed..

 

I figured as much. They are an upgrade from stock srt6 calipers, correct? What would you say a full front/rear set street value would be?

 

Yea, an upgrade for sure, I guess it depends on condition. $400.00 for the whole setup sounds like a decent deal.
