BAS/ESP Light ON during summer
Hello everyone,
I have a recurring problem with the BAS/ESP Light coming on when the outside temperature is around 25 celcius or more. During the winter or low outside temperature it never comes on.
It has to do something with the tire pressure increasing when the temperature rises but I checked them a million times and they are as the manual specifies.
Anyone else experienced this and found a fix?
Thank you!
P.S. I have changed the brake pedal switch and tried all the other fixes but nothing worked. The cruise control also works when the light is on.

Hi, i see no replies… i have had exactly the same problem this summer. Was the problem ever resolved? Any suggestions? i had wondered about an electrical contact that could be temperature dependent. One thing i noticed was that turning the engine off then restarting caused the light to out.

The last time my BAS/ESP came on, I replaced the brake pedal switch and RCM and have had no problems since. I don't run TPS sensors. It is a troublesome system for sure. Good luck with finding the solution. At the time, I could also turn the car off and back on the light would be off.
Please return and let us know how you resolved it. James
