Default Electrical Issues 2006 Convertible

Looking for recommendations for a mechanic or shop in the greater Cincinnati area. Just purchased the car a couple of months ago. Has some electrical issues, such as key fob can be programmed but only flashes the lights, doesn't actuate door locks. The dash button to lock/unlock doors does not function, Convertible top does not function, when the button is pushed to lower the top it lowers the windows but not top, and the battery will drain completely if not run for a week or more. It has a new battery and alternator.

Thanks!

The battery is usually the siren alarm. Use the search feature at the top of the page and put in changing the alarm siren. When you unlatch the top from the windshield, do the windows go down by themselves? Is the divider in position in the trunk?

Do you have an owner manual? If not, use the link I put in your first post.

Sounds like water intrusion in the trunk/wheel well has damaged the CLP/SSM.
A bad CLP/SSM causes all that.

Thank you for the information. I will look up the siren alarm. I have checked the trunk divider and it is in the upright position and latched. The windows do go down when I unlatch the top and hit the button. I do also have an owners manual and have looked at the suggestions there.

Will also look at the wheel well for water intrusion. Thanks for the suggestion!
