Has anyone ever replaced their door latch? I need to replace mine on the drivers door. I removed one from an SLK, but had to bend parts of the inner door structure to remove it. Pretty sure the manufacturer didn't have that problem installing it... lol
Anyone have any instructions/tips?

 

Have you compared the part number of the door latch, before you removed/bought the SLK latch assembly? Although most if not all the DRIVETRAIN is identical, the body parts may or may not match. The part numbers are the only way to confirm this (look up the Chrysler part number then research if the MB part number is the same on the SLK part you got). Good luck!

I would do this BEFORE you tear into your crossfire door (or is it too late).

i haven't removed it yet no. but have a crossfire one also, but a piece is broken on it, i think its where the manual lock **** attaches. I can side by side compare them tomorrow
