Default Need specs on machine screws holding latch mechanism in door.

Need specs on machine screws holding latch mechanism in doors. Diameter, thread, length, head.
Assume these are the same on all Crossfires, but ours is a 2005 Crossfire SRT6 Roadster/Convertible.
Purchased car in November, just discovered that the two screws holding the door latch mechanism in the driver door are missing. Two on the passenger door were loose.
Existing machine screws have torx head, about 5/8" long OA. Will try to match, suspect they are or should be metric.
Not sure whether these remaining two are original, or whether they should be longer, etc.
Any suggestion to keep these in place would be appreciated.
(Quick "fix" was to put one screw in each door. Bring on the screw loose jokes.)
Thanks.

Had the exact same thing happen. I want to say it is a M6. I took one from pass door to ace hardware and got some SS ones with Allen drives. And one for the plastic trim pieces

Here's a M-B Parts website that lists the M8 x 25mm screw: CLICK

There are other M-B websites that you can search for. Just type in the text Ronman submitted above in his post.

Do not buy the part from Mercedes or Chrysler as you will get screwed on the price. Buy it using the screw specs.

Good recommendation! I probably would be able to find this screw size at my local ACE hardware store. That way I could only buy a few that I needed instead of a box from a hardware website. And chances are good that I could get all the screws I needed for the cost of probably 1 or 2 of the screws listed on a M-B parts website.

If the existing screws engage the threads by the diameter it will be OK. The difference between 5/8” and 25 mm. Is approx 3/8” so obviously one is incorrect.
