0442 code and other issues
Good Morning
I have a 2005 SRT roadster and was drivinr to get it smogged and was a block away when it threw 0442 code. My fan selector switch went out a few days ago. Followed sticky note including checked fuses and replaced the Blower Motor Resistor Regulator still nothing. Also the engine fan started coming on within a couple minutes and stays on.
When it rains it pours!!! any help woul be greatly appreiated.

Another possibility with 0442 code could be the gas cap. Have you fueled up recently?
It might be your HVAC module (climate control) or it might be the blower resistor you purchased. If it it not a genuine Behr blower motor resistor then they usually do not work or are defective. The one you purchased is a generic one. The Behr one will run you $40 to $50 before tax and shipping.
Sorry, I misunderstood which fan you were talking about.
As mentioned before the blower resistor might not work, also I saw this thread a while ago about the fan control. I don't know if this is the cause of your problem, but it might lead you in the right direction.
You can check out this thread. A couple of key posts by pizzaguy are #80 and 84. The part he talks about is very inexpensive.
