Default Coolant Hose "Discontinued" - What Now?

Hi, All. I'm working on making my 06 Limited 6 Speed as reliable as possible for longer weekend trips. I've replaced the upper and lower radiator hoses as well as many aged sensors. But there's this one hose that runs from the radiator and loops up into the passenger side fender. The hose looks swollen and oil-soaked where it meets the engine, and I'd like to replace it. The service manual refers to it as a reservoir hose and the part number on the hose is A 170 501 27 82 . The major MB parts vendors are indicating the hose is discontinued an no longer available. I'm finding used ones on Ebay, but buying a used hose seems counter productive in terms of increasing the car's reliability. What now? is there an alternative to resorting to salvaged hoses? Thanks much!

Cant you buy a straight hose for cooling and loop it to fit?
