Default convertible top

The top on my 2005 roadster does not notify me when it goes all the way down and then when it goes up, it doesn't notify me when the action is complete and locked. Then the "D" ring won't engage to lock the top to the windshield. After turning the car off and letting it sit, the top will then latch in the closed position but when I move the car at slow speeds the notification sounds that something is wrong. The trunk then would not unlock and open but I found a way to get it open but now I am afraid to put the top back down. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if how was it remedied?

When you close the top, are you turning the D-ring 90 degrees before closing it to the windshield frame? Also check your hydraulic oil level in the reservoir. (left side of vehicle in the trunk behind the carpeted panel).
Also pull the trunk divider down, then put it back up and make sure it seats properly.

All of those things checked and doing as well as filled the hydraulic fluid (it was at the minimum level but filled anyway). I put the top down and put it back up and it still does not chime indicating that it is fully closed and ready to be locked down. At the same time the trunk unlocks but will not open. Anyone else have this problem before?

What do you mean, it unlocks but does not open? Does the handle just move with no resistance?

Maybe this video will be helpful for your trunk.

Thanks, yes, that is a good video showing exactly what happened to mine. Now if I can just figure out how to fix the top so that it closes and completes the cycle.

Most likely a hydraulic leak, your not building enough pressure to complete the cycle. Inspect all the cylinders for a leak. Do you have the special tool for the tonneau cover latch?
