Default Dash cluster illumination hack.

Looking for a hack to make my dash cluster illumination on whenever the key is on. My window tint makers viewing the instrument readings difficult to see. AND yes I do want the window tint to stay on the windows! Wondering if this could be done by jumping at the fuse block someway.. Has anyone else done this before? Guess I gotta fine a electrical schematic for tine instrument dash panel!

Swap your illumination module for a DRL enabled one. You can get one from a canadian spec Crossfire.

Never heard of a DRL Module or where it's located. Guess I'll go "on the hunt" for one of those. In the. meantime I'll do a little research on DRL's. Thanks

I believe that is supposed to be DTRL, Daytime enabled running light.
I just realized DRL would be the same. Daytime Running Light.

Yup, after a little research it's talked about in both ways. I don't really want daytime running lights though. "Seems" to me there should be a way to tape into the B+ of the ignition switch to the B+ of the dash illumination. BUT I'VE BEEN WRONG BEFORE, AT LEAST ONCE! LoL

You should read this linked thread before going too far with your instrument cluster lights. Not saying this will happen to you, but be aware of hacking into that light module. The feed is live all the time as are the seat adjustments. Get the wiring diagrams and proceed carefully: Fire Risk
