Default 2005 Crossfire

I need an actuator for my air conditioning for my 2005 crossfire. My mechanic cannot find one.
Does anyone have any idea where I could buy one? I live in Rhode Island. Thank you

Way too little information. A picture, part number, or a part NAME (besides 'actuator') is needed so that anyone wishing to help you can know wth is broken. So, please give the membership something to go on?

OK sorry about that. I just know that it is under the dashboard in cold air only blows on the right side and hot air on the left side. I will try and get under the dashboard in identified the pot but I'm not a great car guy so I'm not sure if I can do that. My mechanic told me it was the actuator for the air conditioning under the dashboard.

That could be the 'Duo-valve' under the hood as well. Have you taken the car to an independent Benz mechanic, the car is mostly an SLK-320, and he'll know what to check and where the part would be. That's about the best I can do for now. I don't have a recommendation for the mechanic. Good luck!

thank you very much. That article was extremely helpful. I did hit the dual valve with the hammer as instructed and the air conditioner worked on both sides for a short while and then the driver side went back to hot. I am going to try and rebuild the duo valve. Thanks again

You are not PAYING this fool, are you?

YOu are describing either a sticky duovalve or an issue in the climate control module. PERIOD. That's it.
If the "mechanic" understood how the system works, he'd already have fixed it instead of talking about an "actuator" that does not exist.

A quick voltmeter check on the two outer pins of the duovalve will tell you if it is the duovalve or the climate control module.
