Default P2602?

Just dropped the tranny pan and did an adapter plug change and oil. Now it is throwing this p2602 code when I try to do the trans download. Just off the bat is anybody familiar with this and it's cause on our cars? Mine is a 2005 SRT ROADSTER. Thank u my friends..

That code usually means trans fluid has wicked it way up the wiring to the PCM or maybe the connector plug is not fully seated?

I checked both. Plug is good. I pulled all the connections and all was dry and no oil

Someone else mentioned the TCM however I see no evidence of that. Who do we recommend we send these to to go through it?

It may possibly be your battery. If this doesn't help, search that code as Mercedes-Benz R170.
Here's a thread I found from a Mercedes group:

Interesting, weak battery, I never would have thought of that. A weak battery in these cars can cause a multitude of problems.

Battery less than a year old and fully charged. I agree that I too am amazed the problems that come with these cars when the battery is not fully charged or faulty.

Thank you M60A3 for that info. I often forget about that website and that was great interesting information...I will double check the battery this am this morning but it had been on the charger before the last test though to be sure the batt was not the problem.

I'll ask on the SLK forum. Maybe someone there will have an answer.
