Long term storage control module issues
I have a 2004 Crossfire that has been stored inside on a lift for 7 years with no power to the electronics. I will be retrieving it later this year. Should I expect issues with the control modules once powered up again? Any advice/suggestions appreciated. I am already planning on purging fuel system, replacing fuel pump, filter, and injectors and fogging cylinders before attempting to start it.
hock up positive battery cable first, Then turn on all the lights on high beam, turn A/C blower motor on and the radio; Tempering the jolt and voltage spike upon connecting the negative battery cable.
Might want to use compressed air to blow out all the fuse boxes and take the lid off the control box next to the battery and blow that out as well, before making the electric connection.
Good Luck!
