I'd like to see someone take a 550 or a 650, bolt the XFire body on to it, stretch the front end and whatever else to make it work. That might be cool as hell.

This is really sweet project... What I dont really get , is why this lucky mechanic/engineer is not getting in touch with the forum to talk/tease/inform us...

Different subject:
I spent 6 weeks in France, just got back and did spot only ONE Xfire. In Granville ( Normandy )
Black color, the guy , I guess was crazy enough to take a tight turn but ended in the wrong lane, in front of me... some high beams and horns noise... was enough to tell him to get out of my way and to learn how to drive...

Arfg, these french, we love them and hate them ;;;;;;;;;;;;-))))

The engine bay doesnt look like a crossfire. the firewall and radiator support does though. coil towers are completely different as are the fenderwells

I believe it's got the front end from a charger, with Crossfire bits bolted on.

The front end is from a 2006 Charger. The only thing that doesn't work is the cruise control. He said it will soon............

The motor is already in a running, just wrapping up on a few details.
I will post some pics when he gets it all wrapped up if anybody is interested...

IMO, he needs to roll out his rear fenders and put on wider rear tires to make the wider front clip look more natural...

I am surprised the factory XFire trans and rear end were used. I can't imagine either would hold up very well with a Hemi under the hood.

Don't doubt that 30K represents the time and effort put into the car but is there really a buyer out there??

That's the case with all project cars - it's difficult or impossible to get someone to buy it for anywhere near what you have into it. You just have to build it for yourself, keep it an enjoy it.

I know a guy who has well over $80,000 into a '67 Camaro. It's a beautiful car, fast as hell, badass in every way - but there's no way he'd ever be able to sell it for anything even remotely close to that.

I agree, but that is a love of THAT particular car (options, mileage, condition, etc.) because there are definitely more rare optioned '67s worth low six figure money. The same way I have lots of money in my NA, one day when everyone wants the SRT they will look at me like I was insane for modding my NA the way I have, but I love it (and need a stick)...
