MMZ, any update on the status? I know it'd your bandwidth but I really could use the service manuals right about now

For commercial web space this sure has been down for a long time, time for a new host!

The site is back up now, I think there was a problem with the host all together, because I couldn't get into the site's back end either.

All of it is back up now. Enjoy!

Thumbs up re: Crossfire Documentation Collection

This page has been such an incredible reference. I just wanted to thank all involved in putting this together. You've saved a lot of people a lot of time, money, and frustration. Well done!

Now if we could only figure out a way to post and download the Crossfire luggage...

Dear Timelord,

Thanks without your help I would never had been able to use the Nav. The Dealership got in my car and after 30 minutes of trying, couldn't do.

Default Becker (AKA Infinity) Non-Nav Stereo Manual

http://www.beckerautosound.com/om6806.pdf

This is essentially the same unit as the Crossfire-ized version.

It won't put the luggage in your trunk but it's all the documentation that comes with the set. I think that qualifies for a link!

Here's a file I compiled from data found on the Miller Special Tools web site. It itemizes all the Crossfire Special Tools.

http://4x4icon.com/crossfire/miller_tools/index.htm

The PDF file link is on my site at the location above.

For anyone who works on their own Crossfire, this is really useful info. Even if you don't have the tools.

For the NAV CD East download-- should I just save it to my computer and then burn it to a CD and it will automatically work in my system? I noticed its a .iso file, which I'm not familiar with so I wanted to verify that I am doing this correctly. My NAV East CD got scratched and doesn't work anymore. I'm guessing all my saved locations will be gone, though right? Because those were stored on the CD?

Oh, and is there a specific type of CD I should use? (CD-R, CD-RW, + or -, etc)

It's probably a DVD. If memory serves correctly, burning copies of these are rather involved, not a straight copy of the original to the copy.

You saved location are not saved on the disc - your Nav unit does not write to discs. Your saved location are saved in the Nav unit.

It's a CD, and you need an ISO burning program like Nero, etc., to burn it properly (don't just try to copy the ISO file to a blank CD as a file)

I am on my work computer and I have a program called "PowerISO". Should I use that? I opened it up and clicked on "New" and chose "Data CD/DVD" and then clicked on "Add" and chose the XFIRE_USA_0015.1.iso file. Now I just get a CD and hit "Burn"? Am I on the right track? Any specific CD type?

oh nevermind, I just "opened" the XFIRE_USA_0015.1.iso file instead of adding it to a new project. It is listing the contents of the file now. So now do I just burn those contents onto a CD or is there another step?

Burn it.. it should be fine. I don't have experience with PowerISO, but most ISO burning programs should pull all the necessary info out of the ISO as well (Volume label, burn mode, etc.) Worst case scenario, you've got an extra coaster.

Mike-in-Orange has provided a very good information with copys of the the Nav CD file and an explanation of how to burn CD's for your OEM navagation unit.
You can find it at:
