Hey guys,

Is there any step by step directions with pictures of what to do to remove the old intakes and replace with K&N drop ins?

Thanks!

I believe there are six torque screws that need to be removed and the cover will lift off to take the factory filters out and drop in the corresponding K&Ns.

Well, if they are to correct filters for the SRT-6, then they should have come with step by step instructions WITH pictures. Mine did. These filters ONLY fit the SLK 32 AMG, C 32 AMG and SRT-6. Both of mine had the illustrated instructions inside a baggy with the stickers...

Maybe I just got lucky.

Don't forget there is a hidden torx screw on each side underneath the pulley/belt cover. Carefully pop this front cover section off to reveal these.

The K&N's really shine when the SC gets spooled up ... - WoW!!!

(just did mine last week...)

Just did mine last week..same advice, mine came with instructions and pics...still easy, torx screws, one hidden as mentioned above, remove them, remove the filter, remove the filter cover, remove the cheap hose clamp at the front of the rubber intake and replace with new one (better quality and more easily removed in the future) from K&N (in the box), install gasket on filter cover (supplied by K&N and has peel off adhesive), install the filter (mine was already oiled), install cover, connect hose clamp intake...and waaalaaa, a few extra ponies (allegedly) and a throatier sound under moderate and strong acceleration. Oh, place cool K&N stickers on the filter box covers that say STOP! Took me 15 minutes from start to finish...except for the 1/2 hour post install test drive.
