How to install new cupholder (factory holder)
I bought a used 2004 Crossfire Limited about a week ago. Everything was fine except it was missing the cupholder, which I've heard doesn't work anyways...
Anyways... I have the part (cupholder) just no way to install it. I went to the dealer and he said it would cost about $400 to install as they would have to take apart the entire center console. He also warned me that the wiring harness for the power mirrors could be damaged and pretty much ruin the entire system if done incorrectly.
Any suggestions? I may just suck it up and pay, but thought I should check on here first...

Blondie,
Your dealer is full of **** like most of them there is nothing to installing the cup holder or the bin. The hardest part is getting the rubber grip off the e-brake, but a little liquid soap between the rubber and the lever will make it slip right off. The total process takes about 15-25 min. Personally, I would put the cup holder in a drawer and install the storage bin instead; that's what I did and I have gotten more use out of the bin then I ever did out of the cup holder.

Thanks guys! I'm gonna give this a whirl...or rather I will have my friend try it out for me! hopefully it works and I can get the damn cupholder in so my car won't look broke anymore.
Thanks to Danimal I was able to install the cupholder... shortly after installing it... i realized that it truly is the worst cupholder in automotive history.
i was (no joke) sitting in the car for about 30 minutes trying to figure out the pattern of opening and closing the cupholder. My friend (who installed it for me
haha) thought he broke the code... but then we came to the conclusion that it has a mind of its own.
i dont think i will be using it much (ever) it just looks better that a big hole in my center console.
