Default Irritating Squeak

Sorry I havn't been able to post recently. I've been bogged down with schoolwork. I recently got a new video camrea tho so I'll try to get a clip of my Borla up eventually.

Anyway, I have been noticing a squeak coming from the dash on the passenger's side. It's getting extremely irritating recently and just seems to be growing worse. I put some white lithium on it and it stopped for maybe a day (by the way if you have this problem DONT try it - it can discolor your dash )

Has anybody else had this problem and/or fixed it?

Take a photo of the arrea of the dash you're refering to - it's a large area.

I also have a squeak inside the center dash area. Not sure if it's the same thing, but the best i can describe it is, that is sounds like a bird chirping when going over small consecutive bumps in the road. It seems like it is coming from inside the air vents somewhere because i have just about held everything in the dashes external and it doesnt go away! Very annoying! Help!

This is why i'm selling this car...... the plastic inside is so cheap.... y makes noises every where.....I like the car....but I can't handle all these noises....the only thing that doesn't make any type of noise is the ******* Radio.... because it broke 3 months ago and the dealer said is on back order....... 3 months to replace a nav radio...... thanks God is just a radio and not a important part of the car...

bye.....

well I dont have a picture, but I know exactly where the squeak is coming from. Its where the a-pillar meets the dash. In fact, if you press down right there it makes the squeak and you can feel the vibration. And like someone said above, this squeak mainly happens when going over small bumps in the road.

When I first bought my car, it squeaked everywhere. Dash, door panels etc. It was more of creaking as the car flexed with the road surfaces as well as over bumps. I used WD-40 with the red tube attached and soaked every single crack where all panels come together. A-Pillars included. Not a single noise and this fix lasted 7 months. You will have to do this as needed. Unless you have something loose, this will do wonders.

You took the words out of my mouth. I had some really annoying creaks and squeaks in the drivers door on my Sierra. I little WD 40 used sparingly where the panels come together permanently solved it. That stuff is great. I have had no squeaks in the Crossfire

I'd like to try spraying it on annoying people next.

The best, longest lasting stuff I've used is ZEP 45. Zydax and Teflon.

Smells though...

If yours is making the same squeak mine was, it's an easy fix:

1. Remove the plastic trim piece that goes around the seat belt hole
2. Apply sticky-sided felt to areas of plastic-to-plastic contact.
3. Reinstall piece.
