at stop... lights dim, and engine whines...
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to see whats up w/the Fire. When I'm at a stop light, the engine seems to whine for 1-2 secs. Looks like it gasping for air, the lights slightly dim, and then everything is back to normal. yes, and the check engine light is on.. haven't had the chance to get it coded.
It hasn't stalled on me since I cleaned the throttle body out, and re-soldered the fractured circuit board on the RCM. Any ideas what this is. I also have a new crankshaft sensor.. but haven't installed it since my stalling issues went away.
Thanks from Las Vegas!

My lights dim too or actually "blink" and then go right back to normal. I think it's the voltage regulator cutting power so that the alternator doesn't work so hard at idle. Car never stalled on me though. Been this way since I bought it over two years ago.
