Default Roadster with leaky roof. Anyone have a fix?

I just purchased this 2007 Roadster and I have water leaking in on both sides of the car. The water is leaking in at the front top corner of both side windows. Does anyone have a fix?

I honestly don't remember anyone complaining of that before. Mine has 33,000 on it and is water tight.

Welcome to the forum, anyway.

Ditto

What is the source of the water? Rain or a car wash?

Both sides leak when at the car wash, but I've learned to be carefull. The drivers side leaks in the rain as well. If I can't find someone with a similar problem I'm just going to replace the weatherstriping and hope that fixes it.

Hand wash your car and see if it still leaks

I used some small diameter foam roll insulation and wedged it into the weatherstripping where water came in. Stopped it and its can't be seen.

TSB: 4-May-04 - 23-014-04 - Body - Wind Noise From Top of Door
TSB: 28-Jan-05 - 23-004-05 - Body - Window Glass Misaligned and or Contacts Roof

This is a pretty common problem. It merely requires adjustment of the window tracks.

Can anyone verify these TSBs fix the issue? I ask because I was told there were no open TSBs on my vehicle...

I got drenched in my new '05 Roadster the other day on both the driver and passenger sides (crazy rain here in San Diego!)

It's leaking inbetween the glass/rubber seal at the top-front corner of the window. Also leaking mid-window near where there's a small notch in the seals. Seems like where two seals are match up or something.

Thanks for any thoughts...!

Sounds like both of your windows need to be aligned properly. That should fix the leaks. please let us know what happened.

Roadster window adjustment.
Trying to determine whether adjusting the window travel and alignment is within my capability.
Several postings and videos make the removal of the door panel appear relatively straight forward.
Several videos re removing and replacing the regulators, but that seems a step too far.
Haven't been able to find a post or video addressing just adjusting and aligning the windows.
Any referrals, references, or advice would be appreciated.
(FYI, the problem may have been created by the transport driver who had to access the car while inside the enclosed trailer, but we're well beyond that point.)

There is a section (or maybe more?) on aligning the windows in the factory service manual(s). They are downloaded from this forum in the document collection. Good luck!
