I had my battery out of the car tonight. BAS/ESP light came on afterward. Never moved the car, started to turn to the wheel right and light went out immediately.

Had the same thing happen to me when I was disconnecting and reconnecting my battery, but I assumed it was because I started it up while I was on jacks. Atleast its an easy problem to fix like they said.
Still having problems with the BAS-ESP I have tried resetting (turn steering wheel to left then to right ect) after i have completed the " fix" the light does go off--- but as soon as I depress the brake pedal the light comes back on.
mine did the same thing, more than likely your brake lights don’t work either. it’s a switch that the brake pedal is against, until you depress the pedal. i was going to fix it, the part is pretty cheap....as far as crossfire parts go.....but im under warrantee so to the dealer it went. i can’t remember the name of the part, and my receipts are at the house. if no one chimes in on this i'll post the name of the part tonight when i get home and that should fix your problem.
i checked the work order and it just said "brake lamp switch". its an easy fix, looked like the dealer charged $190 to do it. but since it was under warrentee i didnt worry about it.
All it is, is the brake pedal sensor behind ur pedal got pushed back. I just found Tht out today. I pulled it back out and shut my car off and my brake light and dash light All went away.
I can't beleave it. I took the Crossfire for a test run today about 5 miles and the BAS/ESP light DID NOT come on. We will see down the road. We are leaving Thursday for North Carolina for the Crossfire tour. I feel better now but still not sure it fixed.
