Default ECU and SKREEM module

Hello guys,

Finally look like im going to get my car repaired and back on the road.

BUT......
Just need a bit of info if possible.

I am buying a used ECU and SKREEM module for my 05 convertible and wanted to know if i needed to have parts numbers to give to the supplier or its just based on the year of the car?
£375 + VAT...is this good? 2 months warrenty.

Thansk in advance.

I'm sure the ECU is coded to the individual car/VIN and must be re-programmed to the new vehicle.

Maybe the same for the the security (SCREEM) module. A dealer-only operation?

Thanks mate, thats what i need to find out for sure before i go and part with the cash. As long as a 05 plate ECU and Skreem can be reprogrammed for mine then i can go ahead.

Does anyone know this for certain?
p.s i did try and call Chrysler today.

Thanks,
BC

skreem will read vin from ecu and if not correct vin will shut down ecu i think you can leave the key in the on position for a certain amont of time and it will clear vin but must use battery charger when doing so i think its like 3 hours but vin must be programmed into ecu but it has to be cleared first and dealer can enter new vin there is a company that you send ecu to and they can clear it maybe eurocharge can do it, worth a call
