Do they help gas milage and horse power appreciably?

 

These are all shams IMHO. Go with a trusted tuner and cold air intake vendor. I prefer Eurocharged for the tune and Needswings with the cold air intake. I don't know if you have an SRT-6 or not, but if you do, look up Rudy's 62mm pulley.

 

Yeah most of them are just resistors in a cheap plastic box. Don't expect them to do anything.

 

Not on my SRT but I put one on a Soltice GXP and it messed up other electronic parts. After it was removed everything was fine.

 

Having you car tuned by a professional to match your modifications will make improvements.
A "chip" for our car that does this does not exists.

 

I don't even own an SRT and even I know that to beef up your car you must:

1) Change to a Needswings Cold Air Intake
2) Put on Rudy's Supercharger Pully
3) Get Eurocharged or someone reputable (like Rudy!) to tune the car
4) You may need to beef up the fuel pressure as well - and THEN have the car tuned
5) Beefing up the intercooler (like Jim/AMX has had Rudy do for him) would also be helpful - but 1 to 3 above are most important


6) There is NO 'chip' that is real, the car is optimized as-is. The only reason to tune it is to set it up to work properly with the mods above.
