Default Downloading pics to posts.

How the ________k do you download pics from my photo albums into my posts. It asks for a URL, I don't even know what a URL is, an address I assume. I'm pretty good on mechanical things, not so hot on computers, although I do understand how they work using the binary system. Any help would be appreciated.

I just open my picture gallery and copy the code (path) below the picture and past into my post.. Probably a better way but this one works.

Copy and paste the link into your post from the box under the label BB Code below any of your photos

Open two sessions on your browser, one opened to your photo albums uploaded to the forum which are in the new system and open another session at the new thread (or the old thread you want to modify) where you want to insert the pictures, using two half screens or two monitors is good.

This is just the same method as Valks original post, which still works when using pics in the old gallery system as well.

The two pics above were inserted using this method.

Pics uploaded to your albums should be no more than 800 pixels wide or the picture is too wide for the thread screen and it takes ages to upload. It can be a bit wider but 800 is a nice number.

For those that do not know you can find all your uploaded albums and pictures (old and new) by going to User CP, click on Pictures and Albums under Networking down the left hand side of the screen.
