Default Fob and Key suppliers and their prices

Here are the names of the suppliers and their price for a fob and valet key. Discounts are generally available for multiple orders of a fob or valet key, so ask if required.

Josh costs - $350 for the fob, $300 for a valet key. https://themercedesswapshop.com/

NeedsWings costs - $324.95 for the fob and $100 for a valet key. https://www.needswings.com/crossfire-replacement-key

darknezz19 - $200 for fob, $100 for valet key. New supplier with one good recommendation to date for a fast turnaround.

SOS costs - No prices available. S.O.S. Diagnostics - Automotive Programming and Diagnostics

Anyone else?

Do NOT buy from Chrysler
A little competition between suppliers is good.

Hi
Does that mean a fob and a valet key or just the usual combined fob and key?
They would be the cheapest either way?

Dave, Michael will have to confirm. I understood it is a working MB switchblade key fob. I don't recall any mention of a valet key.

I sent a message to them for details, so we wait for an answer.

I'd also suggest to anybody holding out on a key not to delay. Who knows how long they will be available etc. We went for years without a source of keys. If your on the fence just get it now. Better to be safe than stranded later, especially if you only have one key and its on its last leg.

When I bought this used / new-to-me SRT, it only came with 1 key.
These guys bot me the physical (metal) key and programmed / tested the fob.
So far it is working perfectly.

So you got a valet key and they tested your existing fob, which I assume worked for $250?
So basically $250 for a valet key?

No, sorry for not being clear.
I got a second key AND a second working fob for $250. I didn't get to see what they were doing behind the counter but I assume they used my first remote to clone the second remote.
In summary, I now have 2 working physical keys and 2 fobs.

That is a great price, I emailed them but got no reply.
I will try again.
Thanks.

I’m still confused. Would you be able to post an image of the items received for $250

I think would be extremely helpful for all to see what you received.

If I am wrong then I am totally confused.

I guess it's item #2 then.
A fob opens the doors remotely and has a swing out key that can physically open and close the drivers door.
But the swing out physical key still got cut to match the original, no?

OK, I stuck the thread. We have way too many stuck threads in this sub-forum.
I might consider moving this to "All Crossfires" - since a lot of newbs dont look in the tech forums (based on what Iv'e observed); also, fact is, key issues are kind of a universal big deal.

EDIT: Put up a redirecting thread.

I actually believe the crisis is over. Once the first 'hacker' identified the exact RFID chips used and figured out how to program/clone them, the fix was in.

As far as getting parts, that has never been an issue, our keys are made from the same physical parts millions of cars use - it was just the coding in the RFID chip that was causing the problem. And it was intentional, the very thing that made stealing a Crossfire by driving off in it very nearly impossible - was the same technology that foiled us when we lost/broke our only key.

I think we are fine from here on out.

If it were me, I would then order a small emblem from BestStickers.net or Andrew to finish off the new key FOB.
