2005 Crossfire - Hatch Jammed Shut
Hi. All of a sudden, I can't open the back hatch. I hear the vacuum system trying to disengage the locking mechanism but does not. The handle is engaged. I've tried the unlock on the fob 5 times quickly to no avail. I may have to re-sync the fob.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Sorry.. My Bad. It's a coupe. I'm new. Any way to put more Crossfire specifics with my info? Thanks.
So if I understand correctly, climb my old butt into the back. Is there a mechanical release cable? Is there a video here somewhere? Sorry and thanks!
I have never had this problem but there are a couple of links here. Most for roadsters though.
Have you checked to ensure the air line to the lock is intact?
Check out this one in the link below.

Hope this helps. There is also a video that had the same problem.
Of course another roadster. There was a whole series on that car in the UK.
If I remember right it had a plate blocking access that was only in Europe.
I could be wrong.

If that doesn't work here is a quote from the thread exparamedic posted:
"Okay this is how it is done my Padawans-
remove rear plastic lower panel there will be 1 screw that needs to be removed, that is located where the rear hatch handle is-
slowly pull off the panel , it has 6 clips to hold in place - but comes off nice-
There is a small open area on the Left hand side of the latch (Upper Left)
press down with a flat head screw driver-
you will feel the trunk release and that's it-
However i am still unable to get the device to completely unlock, so when i shut my trunk again it locks, but i was able to get it to open
If your slim you should fit fine, If your a Big Guy you might sweat a little."
I took the leisure of correcting his spelling and punctuation. LOL
