New Recall issued!
Chrysler announced yesterday that they have issued a Recall E-19 Radiator Cooling Fan Module for some Crossfires. This is for cars built between March 1 2004 and Sept. 14, 2005. Not all cars are effected in this run and they will be mailing out letters within one week. This is just a heads up for the members here. Call your Dealer and give them your VIN# and they can check it out for you.
Funny thing. My '05 black base coupe the one that i lemon'd had the cooling fan motor replaced after it started squeaking one day and then eventually seized in the middle of a highway traffic jam overheating the car, so the dealer replaced the fan. Then on my lemon law replacement crossfire my new XFire's cooling fan started squeaking just like in the old car and to prevent a possible fan seizure at the wrong time (i.e. traffic) I took it to the dealer and they replaced it as a preventive concern because they knew what had happened to my previous XFire with the same fan noise. So far the fan has been squeak free. So if you hear your cooling fan come on like say in the driveway while the car and a/c is running listen for a squeak, if its squeaking get it replaced because it will seize and leave you with an overheated XFire like it did me.
Just got back from my dealer and mine is one of the lucky ones to be included in the recall. It was just posted yesterday he said. The part was backordered but he said will take about an hour to replace as soon as it arrives. Luckily mine never exhibited any of the symptoms described here but as long as its covered i'll get it replaced and avoid any unscheduled downtime. My luck it would break down in May and the part will then be backordered till October. Thanks for the heads up on this.
You can also check online to see if your car is included in the recall.

From what I can gather "Incomplete" means that the Recall work has NOT been performed as yet.

Thanks CSMAN for the heads-up!

Mine says incomplete also, but it said that after it said My car has the fan recall. You are probably going to get a notice in the mail, and I am assuming that after you get the work done, it'll say completed, or something like that. My car is put away for the winter, so I'm going to wait for the recall notice, see if there is a deadline, and call them to have it done after winter's gone and I bring it out. Sometimes it takes them a while to get the parts, especially if they don't sell a lot of XF's.
Indeed if there is a recall for the car, the owner is usually being notified ( my XF date of manufacture is 12/04). In the meantime, I'll be monitoring the temperature gauge more frequently or for other signs of distress.
Well, I guess someone from DC is lurking on this forum... Mysteriously, the warranty info link no longer works. It kind of ticks me off that they put a Crossfire on the error page too. Grrr...

"No Incomplete Recalls or Customer Satisfaction Notifications Exist",
then there are no recalls on your car that haven't been performed.
If you see:
Description...Type...Issue Date...Status
RADIATOR COOLING FAN...CUSTOMER SATISFACTION...01/26/2006...INCOMPLETE,
then the incomplete means that your car is covered under the recall, but it hasn't been fixed yet.
Yep, mine is on the recall list as per DC and it shows at the dealer computer monitor as E19 RADIATOR COOLING FAN CDD2E190. The service team manager said, I have to wait for the letter so he could expect the part to arrive. I am still wondering what part is that and how difficult it is to replace.
