Meet and Eat !

Have you had the pre-meet visit to Bakewell that you mentioned? Also did you have any thoughts about the meal location, just thinking that as its a holiday weekend we should think of booking somewhere once we know numbers. I recal the owner of The Peacock Inn, where a few of us are staying, mentioning that they do not service evenings meals. Its good to see the numbers attending is on the incress.

Hi Paul, Steve-UK has done all the hard work (100%) on this meet and I'm certain that shortly he will update us all with times and locations etc. I belive in a pass post a gathering place and time was arranged.
May I suggest that you and other looking for accommodition ensure its in Bakewell town as near to the centre as possable, then you won't have to drive when meeting for the meal or a chat in a local pub, and no chance of being breath tested after a pint or two or three !! Lastly, it's worth asking if the parking is off road.

Hi Steve and others,
Good new's about eating in the pub. Should we confirm numbers eating so that the Peacock can arrange we all sit together and chat etc. rather than be scattered around on separate table's.
If all xfire owners that wish to join the evening group for the meal would confirm on this post the numbers, then details can be passed to the pub.
Cheers
Ken

Hi Steve-UK..Message received and understood. Have a good day with the lads and don't forget to test the beer out, as if you would!
Jane is looking forward to seeing/chatting to Andrea again on the day and the new ladies joining the group.
Cheers

Hi Andy
Speaking for my self and Jane only. Booking into Inn around 2pm and then a bit of a rest (a habit & age related!) and meeting in the bar before the meal leaves little time for an additional cruise, but others may feel differently
Cheers

Hi - Yes we are planning an early evening drive - details are in the updated main thread, as follows:
"We can meet up at The Peacock, Market Street, Bakewell, for a Saturday early evening drive AT 5PM, led by me, to meander through the beautiful villages and scenery in the Peak District National Park. Then we can return to The Peacock for well earned refreshments (its a real ale pub!)"
"FOR THOSE STAYING OVER AT THE PEACOCK (01629 813635) - ROOMS AVAILABLE FROM 1.30PM
EVENING MENU IS AVAILABLE - PLEASE MENTION WHEN YOU CHECK IN THAT YOU WILL BE ORDERING FOOD AT 6.30PM SO WE CAN ALL EAT TOGETHER - SEE "

We can all meet and eat there at 6.30pm after the drive, whether staying there or not;
