Now that we have had a few meets and interest in future meets has started to gain some momentum; I would like to propose that we try for 4 meets each year, based on the the following:

• Easter Meet
• June/ July Meet
• September Meet
• Pre-Xmas Lunch Meet

It would be great to fix up something for this coming September. It's now open to anyone to propose a meet that they would like, or fully organise themselves. We could then use this thread to contribute some ideas, tell everyone what they would like to see included in a meet, wether it be a weekend or just a day-meet.

If you're looking for something central, from my experience as an organiser at UK Cruisers, a venue in the Northampton area tends to work well for most people.

I'm happy to arrange something if it's local and others don't mind driving this far south (Liss is maybe half an hour down the A3 from J10 of the M25). In fact, I know the landlady of my local pub would love to host us.

Otherwise I'm happy to travel.

 

I have a few thoughts for a September meet down South, but like Lissfx I feel a meet location more centre may draw a few more xfire owners. I will wait a while to see if other meet locations are suggested before making mine.

Jon, Steve and my self, if you call mine, a cold day at a service station a meet! have arranged previous gatherings, so perhaps another Xfire owner would like to take the reins on the next.
